Personally Identifiable Information
We collect your email address if you communicate with us by email, as well as survey or other information that you might supply voluntarily.
We use a third-party service to facilitate collection of event registration fees, where applicable. An event registration form asks for your credit card number or other account number you wish to be charged. You will receive email confirmations for these purchases. We and/or the third party do not give out your credit card or other account information to third parties unless you authorize us to do so, or if it is necessary to fulfill our responsibilities, including, but not limited to, delivering a product or service you order. All sales are considered final.
We may use this information to respond to an email or other inquiry or request, to help improve our website and our services, to customize your experience at our website, or to send updates or notices about our organization and products we offer that may be of interest to you. We may combine this information with other generally or publicly available information to help us identify site visitors' preferences or interests. NIRI Chicago’s website is intended for adults. NIRI Chicago does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If NIRI Chicago obtains knowledge that it has personally identifiable information about a child under 13 in retrievable form in its files, NIRI Chicago will delete that information from our existing files.
How You Can Control and Update Data About You
We want to be sure that we keep only the most accurate and up-to-date information about you in our records. We obtain membership information from NIRI National, and also maintain email lists at the chapter level. When you need to update your contact information, please email both NIRI National at memberservices@niri.org and NIRI Chicago at info@nirichicago.org.
You may choose at any time to remove your name and contact information from the lists we use to send notices or updates, and elect not to receive correspondence from us, by emailing both NIRI National at memberservices@niri.org and NIRI Chicago at info@nirichicago.org.
